API Key

Overview

An API Key is a unique group of strings that our servers use to uniquely identity which customer an API request is intended for. This of this as an ID card, used to identify one user out of a group of over 1 million other users. We not only use API Key's to uniquely identify our customers, we also use it determine access levels and a host of other internal controls.

Getting an API Key

An API Key is automatically generated for every account at the point of registration. There is no additional steps needed to get one. Once registered, you can find your API Key on your Settings page.

Revoking an API Key

For security reasons, we currently do not allow customers to revoke their API keys on an account level. In order to revoke an API key, you will need to contact support, and a team member should be able to assist you. Additionally, you can create a support ticket directly from your dashboard.

API Key access

By default, your API Key does not have access to any product in production. In order to get access to whatever product you need, you will need to subscribe to that product from the subscription page. Once this is completed, you will be able to make both sandbox and live requests to the product's endpoints.

API Key Sharing

We know it's common practice to share your API Keys among different applications. This however is not allowed for compliance reasons. When your account goes through due diligence, we ask you for your use case. Since we are unaware of your other applications / use cases, this automatically violates our terms of use and is grounds for immediate suspension / termination.
